“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:14-16).
Hello everyone! I’m so glad that you took the time to read my blog today. I would like to start by asking you a few questions. 1.) Do you bring the peace of God into a room that is filled with confusion or division? 2.) Do people tend to come to you for wise counsel or encouragement? If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions and you never understood why people feel safe in your presence, it’s because you carry the Solution on the inside of you, and that is Christ Jesus.
People are attracted to the God in us and His presence is contagious. It’s the beauty of the Lord that draws many people to Christ. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and the Comforter of all comfort. When we live in God’s presence, we are revived, restored, rejuvenated, and replenished. It’s such a joy to know that God has called us to be channels of blessings in the earth to His people. A channel by which His love and grace flow through us. As believers, we have become the hands and feet of God in the earth. Oh yes, and even His mouthpiece as we yield to Him. We stand ready to bring heaven on earth into any situation.
In a world where fear is seeking to cripple the hearts and minds of God’s people, the Lord says arise and speak my Word over your life, your family, and over the lives of others. Arise and exercise your spiritual authority over the works of the devil. This pleases our heavenly Father when we are walking in the light of His presence. He also promised us that He would never leave us nor forsake us. Therefore we can stand firm in faith in the midst of adversity because, “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7).
It takes courage to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. It takes courage to be the solution when others might persecute you or reject you. It takes courage to shine your light in a world where people call good evil and evil good. No matter what it takes, let us continue to have an awareness that Christ lives in us, the hope of glory (see Colossians 1:27).
I encourage you to be the solution to the problems that we are facing in our world today. Our call to action is never too big or too small. As we walk in the spirit and rely on God’s power, we can accomplish anything! We will be empowered to love our neighbor as ourselves and overcome temptation and adversity.
Father God, we thank You for giving us everything that we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). You have empowered us by Your Spirit to walk in victory in every situation and circumstance. Thank You that the Anointed One who lives in us has become the solution to every problem we face. You have made us more than conquerors and we declare that we walk in the light as You are in the light. Father, we ask that Your kingdom come and that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. May we have a conscious awareness that we are carriers of Your presence everywhere that we go. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
